Greetings paleos,

From what i have rceecntly read, fermentation of fibre [mainly soluble?] in
the large intestine can contribute 5-10% of our calories in the form of
short chain fatty acids - propionic and butyric.  does a substantial
increase in fibre intake lead to a substantial increase in caloric creation
through microbial fermentation?
