I have stuck to my paleo eating (as interpreted by me with a great deal
of help from Neanderthin) pretty well for quite a while. Yesterday I
made a pound cake (flour, butter, sour cream, eggs, sugar) for guests. I
ended up eating about 4 pieces (couldn't stop myself) and some See's
chocolate candy in addition.

Today I woke up with a stuffy nose just like the old allergy days, not
to mention the other sad effects. The allergies coming back remind me
how this diet makes me feel great. I used to have terrible allergies and
this diet is responsible for them going away, the only thing that has
ever worked.

Was it the grains? Don't know. Could be that, could be chocolate, but
for me, the subject is academic. The choice of foods laid out in
Neanderthin makes me feel great, and deviating makes me feel bad. I
agree with the theory and the logic, but it's the practicality that
counts.
