I did read your post Deanna. This is the line that gave me the ideas that
I responded with.  Perhaps I am too idealistic.  But in my mind, if god
sets down dietary rules, since diet is for feeding the *physical* body,
the rules should be related to *physical* health.

Except for natives using intoxicants, which alter your consciousness,
and hence perception,

I see no other reason for, or connection between, what goes in your
body affecting your spirit. That's all. In fact that was the only point
I was trying to make at the beginning of this whole religion thing.

Sorry if it got out of hand folks, but as predicted, religion, sex and
politics always get people riled.
