Pat - just to clarify - elevated blood pressure did not cause the headaches.
The medication does not "fix" the headaches by its primary action - it is a
serendipitous side effect. It seems many doctors use it as a migraine
preventative, regardless of the blood pressure status of the patient. I
believe the action it takes is to block triggering of certain nerves in the
brain that respond badly to elevated stress hormones.

I'm sure there is a much more paleo way to deal with elevated stress
hormones, but I'm under way too much stress to deal with that right now ;)
