In this PaleoFood digest of 13 posts, fully 9 (yes, NINE!) of them were on
this thread of saturated fats/cholesterol. I am so sick and tired of this never
ending cholesterol mania in this country, I cannot stand it anymore. Anyone,
whether on this list or of any other conviction, can find statistics to prove
whatever s/he wants to state in terms of the control of and importance of
cholesterol. I thought we, of a Paleo bent, would not be so hung up on this topic.

We all know where to find links to massive amounts of information refuting
the whole cholesterol/heart connection. Even mainstream medicine now
acknowledges that fewer than half of all heart attack victims had high cholesterol
anyway. I am bracing myself for attacks because of this angry post, but I just have
to get this off my chest: When it comes to cholesterol, who cares?

Other risk factors are finally rising in prominence concerning their
causative connection to heart disease. Among them, C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and
Homocysteine are paramount. We are only just beginning to find information about
these seeping into the mainstream. Why isn't happening faster? Because so far, we
don't have big drugs to address these problems!

OK, I'm done. Thank you for listening- just blowing off some steam.
