Yes, lead has a slight sweet taste.  Like I said, the info came from him,
not me.  However, if you do a taste test with several bottled waters,
sparklets included, then yes, it does have a sweetness to it.  And yes,
distilled water and reverse osmosis is the pretty much the same thing.
My idea of safe drinking water?  A good filter on my sink faucet and
changing the filter every 3 months.
