I am taking an omega 3
> supplement but it's just not the same as eating fish.

omega 3 s are available in naturally fed domestic animals ( grass for
herbivorous , greens and worms and insects for chickens etc ) or in all
wild animals fats .
Also mercury is not in every sea foods , a problem .
salmon from the west coast of Canada have very little mercury and many
animals very low on the food chain will be completelly fine .
The commercialisation of fishes in North america is ridiculously poor in
choices .go somewhere else and look at a fish market ,you will see the
difference .
The fish farms industry is spreading lot of misinformations like saying we
need them to feed an hungry planet . while this industry have to convert
completetelly fine to eat fishes like mackerels herrings, anchovies
,sardines and others in the ratio of 4 to produce one pound of salmon .
I am living in an island of the west coast of canada ,the stores carry only
salmon ( and lot are farmed when there is so much wilds ones That are
purposefully claimed in danger of extinction ) halibut ,soles ,cod and that
is it as fishes , plus scallops , shrimps ,crabs and one kind of clams .
That is so ridiculous considering the still very rich waters around .

The best way of protecting our waters is to feed from them . the best way of
protecting our wild lifes is to feed from them . nothing else will makes
peoples more concerned about the health of our environments ....
