This is probably the biggest irony of paleo. It's the most
restrictive long-term diet I know, yet the easiest to stick to.
After a few weeks/months/years your body forgets the garbage you used
to put inside it. People I talk to can't understand that the feeling
that life is not living without cake and chocolate disappears in no
time. I know one person who is convinced I must be constantly
miserable and hate food, and says he's happy not worring about what
he eats. But it makes me laugh, because I don't worry one bit about
what I eat (well, I'm concerned how we produce food but not about the
foods themselves).

I know someone who started paleo just to try it out, just because it
made sense. Just like you, he found fat just falling off him with no
effort whatsoever. And he's also said there are a lot of things he
really isn't bothered about not eating. I really can't imagine how
you could make this diet better, but a lot of people can't imagine
how a diet could be more any depressing. It's amazing what food
addiction does to you!
