This hasn't been my experience, nor our 3-year-old daughter's.

She eats both raw and cooked when she desires them which is often, both
ways. And for myself, after over 8 years eating them only raw, I enjoy them
both raw and cooked, though I eat far more cooked than raw these days.

Your theoretical "regulation" seems to have failed me. ;)
