Because the fatty acid balance is a higher ratio of o-6 to o-3 just like
in wild game or grass-fed beef etc.  As opposed to grain fed meat which
is loaded with mostly o-6 polys.... and especially since eggs are
relatively high fat items...

Its not so much about getting your o-3s from eggs or meat, its about a
less harmful balance when you consume them.  I'm no expert but I'm just
extrapolating from the general points I've seen made here and in other
books etc.  Maybe I'm wrong?  But for me, a university student with
access to little more than a normal supermarket, I am just wondering if
others would buy the omegas over the 'normal' (assuming grain-fed)
eggs.  I'm in Canada and I've seen this particular brand all over the
place called "naturegg" and I'm looking at the package right now it says
"hens fed a diet containing flax" which is very vague but the label
claims a o-6 to o-3 ratio of 0.7 to 0.4 which sounds pretty good and
might be a closer result as under the ideal diets already mentioned
under this thread.  They cost about 30% more than the cheapest eggs
which make no mention of the poly fat breakdown or what theyre being fed.
