that taste sweet (this includes fruit) for some period of time (6 months to
a year). I can't stick with that, so instead I loaded up on
probiotics......

My reply:
Probiotics are a great aid to the health of your colon. I like Nature's Way
Reuteri Primadophilus. (The company puts out several varieties of
probiotics). This one is clinically tested. Not sure if it's the one you
are taking.

As for candida diet. The FUNGUS LINK By Doug Kaufmann presents a candida
diet that is more do-able than most. He allows carrots and carrot juice,
citing research on carrots inhibiting fungal proliferation. A 1988 study in
*The Journal of Microbiology* implicated carrot as a good fungus fighter!

He allows some fruits, namely tart ones: sour apples, strawberries,
blueberries, and other berries, as well as raw apple cider vinegar. The
mallic acid in apples (and raw apple cider vinegar) has strong antifungal
properties.

He suggests various herbs, olive leaf extract and pau d'arco (a native tea
from the rain forest), and products like tea tree oil, citrus seed extract,
caprylic acid as being powerful aid in fighting the fungus among-us!

I followed his diet for a couple of months once to see if it would benefit
me. The carrots, carrot juice, sour apples and berries made it very do-able
and enjoyable.

Good luck,
Rachel
