Thank you for your response Ray. Yes it is a great book , and I knew it to
the the truth
the first time I read it. I follow it the best I can, most of the time.
Admittedly not all the time,
which is why I am so concerned with the native foods thing. I want to
minimize the damage
of my "excursions" away from paleo eating, not completely replace
it......question....

In Boyd's "Paleolithic Prescription", he includes neolithic foods as a modern
equivalent
to the past paleo diet, ie milk and grains. In fact, his numbers are apx 60%
carbs,
including grains, 20% protein,
and 20% fats. How can he call that paleolithic? Is he just ripping off a
catchy title? and
why is that considered such a landmark book? Is it because of the the
research that
went into it as far as the stats on animal food sources? And that it sheds
light to paleo eating
in general? Because his diet doesn't seem to match your definition at all.
The only thing
that I see as accurately (relatively) paleo, is his exercise recommendations.

And I just now read Hunt's book Diet Evolution. Took me less than an hour to
read it. Very
good and to the point, a lot like yours. But he also includes modern dairy,
what gives???
I loved how he blasted Sears tho'....LOL,,,I always thought that was a bit
ridiculous....
40-30-30 is wayyy to mathematical for me when im hungry.....lol...His
exercise ideas are
very good and current. Every exercise he suggests I already do, so I felt
good about that.

It's interesting to see how many people are jumping on the paleo food diet
book thing...
seems like a new book out every day on this WOE. Congrats....imitation is
the sincerest
form of flattery...........but who is immitating whom? 8-)
