Hello hunter gatherers:

I just figured out yesterday that I accidentally blocked this address. i
fixed that, so I will soon be back in the loop.

Mary: regarding chins - I used to think I couldn't do chins, but about 2.5
years ago (before I was paleo) I got a copy of The Navy Seal Workout. I
will post the author's name when I find the book. It is not actually THE
seal workout, but the author is a recent former seal, and has written a
manageable approach for anyone. I chin up bar and dip bar are necessary,
though. He starts you off with a set of one, fifteen second rest, set of
two, fifteen second rest, set of one again. Those are wide grip. Something
similar for reverse grip, narrow, and wide behind the neck. It is amazing
how quickly you will find yourself doing chins regularly.

As for my raw experiment - I have started to eat a lot of cooked meat. The
reason is that I just couldn't eat enough store bought meat - it is so
inconsistent in texture and taste. Not the experience I had with venison,
which I will not have again until November. Bottom line - to eat all, or
even mostly raw meat, I will have to hunt more than just deer, and more than
just deer season, or find a source of affordable naturally fed animals.

So how did I determine what was enough meat? Some may remember that I
started my raw experiment at 198lbs, 15% body fat. (168 lbs lean body mass)
My first report was 183 at 10%. (165 lbs lean body mass) A loss of 3 lbs
of muscle - no big deal. I never reported my next weigh in and test of 173
lbs and 10% body fat. This is 12 lb loss of muscle, and when I started
eating cooked meat again. Today it was 167 lbs and 9% body fat, for a total
loss of 18 lbs of muscle. I am almost done with a 1.75 lb steak...
