Low sodium or low normal sodium can be a sign of salt wasting which is
often directly related to low thyroid or adrenal fatigue. This can also
be exasperated by low normal aldersterone, a kidney hormone, or issues
with renin, also a kidney hormone. People on the hypothyroid email
lists on yahoo often take a drug that mimics aldersterone to stop the
salt wasting and move their heart rate back to a more normal level.
People who cannot get the drug that mimics aldersterone take some sea
salt a couple of times a day.
