I do not find that to be too much of a problem. Putting a steak in
the oven takes just a few minutes, and then You have to be around
when it is ready. Then there is food for two days, just add some
salad and fruit, or chew on a piece of broccoli.
Preparing jerky takes some time, but not too much.
I _never_ buy any readymade food.
