First the person asking the question has long since been deleted from the
list.

The Listserv ignores anything in the subject line. If you put it in the
body, the Listserv will have no idea which of maelstrom's 600 lists that
you want to unsubscribe from. And if you send it to paleofood@... then it
will either be rejected or posted to the list. A command will never be
processed when sent to that address.

Close, but not exactly. It's "signoff paleofood", though possibly the
Listserv will accept it when two words. And the full address to send it to
is [log in to unmask]
