I've been eating a lot of raw meat since spring of this year (about
50% of the meat I eat is raw). I used to be bacteria-phobic but I
think it is not really an issue for me now. It certainly is not as
big a deal as we have been raised to think it is. Raw meat is easier
to digest, I notice that cooked meat sits in my gut longer and also
produces foul gas (I am going at it slowly, though).

So I say, read about diets that promote raw animal foods, and decide
for yourself about the cooked vs. raw issue. Because there are lots
of people out there who are getting great results eating raw protein
and fat. When I read articles like this about AGEs and that other one
that came out a while ago about the harmful substances in cooked
starches, it just reinforces my belief that there is less to worry
about with undenatured food (raw) than there is with cooked.

OK, Phillip, let me have it!! ;)
