If you get virgin coconut oil it definitely smells
like coconut. I like this smell so I use this
externally, in my hair and as a moisturizer.

If you don't like the smell, you can buy expeller
pressed coconut oil. It's "refined" coconut oil, but
done the old fashion way rather than with chemicals,
so there is no trans-fat and no smell at all.

Spectrum is a good brand to buy, and it's relatively
inexpensive. My whole foods carries it for 5 bucks
for a peanut butter sized jar. I use it for frying my
foods.
