Well, here is a part of this subject that is on the other side of the
coin............  in some countries, women are circumcised as a way of
control.  They not only remove the skin covering the clitoris, but they
remove the entire clitoris.  I have a friend who has fled India, yet she
did not escape before being mutilated at age 13. The age when the ritual
is performed.
