Fat will not work for exercise that involves significant amounts
of anaerobic work.  Anaerobic exertion recruits fast-twitch
muscle fibers, and these fibers simply cannot burn fat.  They
must have glucose.  They store the glucose locally, in muscle
glycogen, but when this is used up, the liver should release some
of its glycogen as glucose to replenish it.  When the liver is
tapped out, which happens sooner rather than later on lowcarb,
that's the end of the line.  More glucose can be made from
muscle, but it takes time.
