Can't remove the heating plates for easy cleaning like the
Black&Decker/Hamilton Beach model can.

Doesn't have a timer (lower end models for sure).

Nonstick coating can chip. I have the smallest GR10 and near the front
where the ridges contact each other I'm getting a hammer on anvil effect
which is causing the coating to break off at the contact points because
it's not evenly distributed weight.

I'm still using the GR10, but when finances permit I'll replace it.
