Hi, Debborah, welcome and thanks for the input. Right off the bat when she
went on Atkins I told her I had read reports of aspartame (or other
arti-sweeteners) stalling diets. Ditto with the citric acid in them. She
stopped the diet Country-something-or-other lemonade mix that she read the
label on and found citric acid.

LOL, I gave her an herb seasoning mix today, a little gifty, and she said
she was glad it didn't have garlic in it. Surprised me because I know she
likes garlic. Asked why and she said she guessed she was going to have to
give it up. LOL.....she's been having trouble with bad breath. I told her
she was probably in ketosis.

But still only 3 lbs. lost, and that was in the first week.

Another lister wrote privately to say she might be highly insulin resistant.
Good point. Her mother, aunts, etc., are all T2 diabetics.
