Humans and other critters will go to tremendous lengths to get salt.
On a video we saw recently, elephants went 100 feet into a bat cave to pry
salt deposits off the wall with their tusks. It is an essential for
life, especially
for those who exercise in hot weather. That said, modern SAD contains far
far more salt than we need. Salted popcorn and pretzels are not paleo.
IMHO, you have just the right "paleo" approach to salt.
