Fasting for 1-3 days may be easy for you, but it's very draining and
stressful for me, as is true, I think, for most people with
hypoglycemia.

My impression, possibly mistaken, is that it was rare for most North
American tribes to fast beyond four days.  Also, I would sometimes read
the phrase, "we ate very little," which suggests that these weren't pure
fasts.  But longer periods of fasting were common in the Middle East,
for example.
