Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have just subscribed to this list and will be adopting a "cave man" diet
shortly. I am gluten intolerant so I do not anticipate any major
adjustment period. Just a matter of giving up some more things to eat,
albeit I shall miss the cheese. :-(

I do have one recipe question, if I may. Does anyone have a pemmican
recipe which is lower in saturated fat than the standard jerkey & rendered
fat recipe? Could I substitute tahinni perhaps? I am taking zocor and
niacin for a cholesterol problem and try to keep my fat in the form of
olive oil, canola oil or flax oil. I am having mental difficulties working
out how rendered fat will not destroy my blood levels.

Thank you all very much,

James (at Penn State)
