Some of you may be new and may not know one of the rules of the list:

- When posting or replying to a messages, please make sure you have
changed the Digest subject line to reflect the topic of your message.

- Only quote what is absolutely essential, if anything, in your reply.

What this means is that when you reply to a previous post, you do not need
to reprint the entire previous post. The subject line (or one or a few key
lines or paraphrases sentences from the previous message) will tell readers
what you are responding to.  When this is not done, the digests are more
longer and cumbersome, more digests fill our e-mail boxes, and the list
owners don't like it because it ties up far more archive space than is
necessary.
