Hello Judith,

Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor - my advice is as a layman.

One of the things that I've learned on this listserve is that there is no
single, comprehensive list of paleo foods. The single best guide is
"Neanderthin", by Ray Audette, which is available through Amazon. I have
also seen at the large Barnes and Nobels bookstores. Another book which
may be helpful is "Eat Right 4 Your Type" by D'adamo. This book is NOT
Paleo, but his blood type O diet comes close. I am not sure how he reasons
that some clearly Paleo foods are "bad" for you to eat.

The comprenhsive list comes down to one phrase. If you are naked on the
plains with a sharp stick, could you eat it raw? If the answer is yes,
then it is paleo.

Admittedly, the rule fails with respect to dairy, cashews and some
vegetable oils. (I'm still trying to work out the canola oil).

As for web based resources, Don Weiss has an excelent site:

Hope this helps...
