You avoid ketosis by eating more than 30 grams of carbohydrates per day.

However, given your additional restrictions in needing to avoid fruits, I would
say not this is not likely.

But, I don't think it is necessary to avoid ketosis - my wife has been in
ketosis for the past couple of years, and has never felt (or looked) better.

PS   Be sure to drink a lot of water !  At least 64 ounces a day !   And, if you
get leg cramps, then you need more potassium (the simplest and most inexpensive
source is "Morton's Lite Salt").
