It seems to me that this author is interested in no question that does not
agree with his theory. I  perceived no ignorance in the quoted and well
formulated question.  The word etymology examples given are childish and the
explanation tangential at best. The book may be interesting but is not based
on anything other than superficial understanding of complex information. The
author '...doth protest too much...'
