The brand I use is Tropical Traditions. They sell two kinds; virgin (VCO)
and expeller pressed (EPCO). The VCO has virtually NO taste and I take it by
the tablespoon on days when I want to up my calories. I also use it as a
lotion on my hands and feet (cuts on my hand from work heal much faster when
I use VCO on them several times a day) and cook with it . It has a very high
temperature rating for cooking. The EPCO is much cheaper and has a mild
coconut taste. I use the EPCO for making mayonaise (50/50 with olive oil)
and other uses where an little taste would be acceptable. A lot of people
give the EPCO to their dogs. Try it, you won't regret it.
