Scientists have discovered that hunter-gatherers don't show the effects of
aging as rapidly as do agricultural people. Several studies average
lifespans based on paleolithic bones have been revised upward due to this
new information. It has also resulted in several longevity books by
low-carb diet book authors (Adkins, Eades, Sears, etc).

For information of contempory people who approach the "ideal" lifespan of a
million hours see:

                                                    Johnson, Mary Ann,
"The Georgia Centenarian Study: Nutritional Patterns of Centenarians."
The International Journal of Aging & Human Development Vol. 34(1)
(1992) 57-76.

These two studies indicate a link to high levels of saturated animal fats.
