This may surprise some, but I'm not a drama queen.  However, I once did put
on a show at a family get-together.  My mom's side of the family was
gathered at Aunt Linda's house, just three houses down from the ol'
homestead.  They sat around telling one "nigger joke" after another.  I told
'em what I thought and walked out.  Mom called a few minutes later and
begged me to come back; "we all miss you!"  I refused.

Give that a try and see what happens.  You might be surprised.  That, and if
feels soooooo good.
