hi Jim,
i've never heard them called anything else.
they're big green flat leaves, grown about 18-24" tall, vary in color from a
silvery green to a deep dark green, depending on which variety.
they're very easy to grow, don't mind heat, don't mind cold, can take a
light frost....i eat them out of the garden until November, most years,
until they freeze.
if you want, i could snailmail you some seeds and you could grow some, see
if you like them.
