Dear Suzanne,

Welcome to the list. I am late in posting this, but yes, I became lactose,
whey, casein, gluten, wheat, egg, etc. intolerant when I returned from
Africa after a bout of parasites. Giardia is notorious for causing milk
allergies and they do this by embedding inbetween the intestinal villi,
causing irritation in the crevaces and chopping the villi off the top, which
ultimately results in impaired absorption and the development of allergies
or intolerances. Other parasites deposit toxins in your system, and impair
the villi. From what I read (I don't know where offhand) milk and wheat
allergies often go together in such a situation.
