While this is a common argument, it tends to ignore one factor: evolution.

When humans made the switch from a hunter-gatherer society to farming, the individuals whose digestive systems were better adapted to grains and animal milk had a distinct advantage.

While I am not saying that modern humans require animal milk, we (or at least some of us) certainly have adapted to have it as a part of our diet.

While this may be an unpopular view to express on a milk-free list, humans did consume diary products long before there was a dairy lobby.
