More from Robert Cohen:

Children should not drink cow's milk. Adults should not drink cow's
milk. Count yourself lucky that you discovered a problem. Many parents
of kids with earaches, congestion and allergies never make the
connection.
There is nothing good to be said about milk with the possible
exception of milk mustaches which make American women beautiful and
sexy.
The calcium in milk does not prevent osteoporosis. It's the cause!
Milk is loaded with fat, cholesterol and at least 100 PROTEINS which
cause the human body to produce antibodies.

This is from Dr. Daniel Twogood:
The best pediatric work is by Frank Oski, M.D., head
of pediatrics at Johns Hopkins. If you need to read more than the title
of his book, "Don't Drink Your Milk," then contact Teach Services, Route
1, Box 182,Brushton, NY 12916, or call them at 518-358-2125 for a copy
of his excellent book.

> Cows are given many antibiotics.

You are correct. Here is something most Americans do not know. On
December 1, 1990, FDA allowed one part per 100 million of antibiotics in
milk. This was their safe level.

On December 3, 1990, FDA hired MONSANTO scientist, Margaret Miller,
Ph.D. Miller reviewed her own research and helped to approve the new
genetically engineered bovine protein, rbST.
There was great controversy with this new drug including the mastitis
issue. Cows treated with rbST were getting ulcers on their udders and
secreting large amounts of pus into their milk. Miller knew this. The
first act performed at FDA by Miller was to change the acceptable level
of antibiotics in milk. SHE INCREASED IT BY 100 TIMES!!!
A group of FDA employees complained by writin a letter to members of
Congress. Three congressmen, Sanders, Obey and Brown initiated a GAO
investigation.
Do you think it did any good? No way!
Today we drink 100 times the levels of antibiotics that we drank in
1990. The Center for Disease Control has issued many alerts indicating
that antibiotics no longer work. America is experiencing increased
cases of meningitis, tuburculosis, cancers, leukemias...nobody has a
clue why.
When asked about levels of antibiotics in milk recently, Linda Grasse,
FDA spokeswoman said, "Levels of antibiotics are well within safety
limits." She did not mention that FDA increased those limits by a
factor of 100!

There is something critically horrible in the processing of milk. It is
called homogenization. We take milk, shoot it through a filter with
10,000 holes at high speed, and make the fat molecules (liposomes)
smaller (micronization).
These fat molecules protect protein hormones, including my personal
favorite, insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) so that the hormone
bypasses the hypothetical construct known as "gut closure."
IGF-I is the most powerful growth hormone in the human body.
You will not find IGF-I in lettuce or rutabega or chicken. As a matter
of fact, the IGF-1 in the human body is identical to the IGF-I in only
one other animal and that's the cow.
When we eat steak the IGF-I is destroyed by strong digestive enzymes.
Milk, however, buffers the gastric acidity so that these protein
hormones survive digestion.
Thousands of things cause cancer...only one thing makes cancer grow in
the human body. IGF-I.
Every single cancer researcher working on a microbiological level knows
the key events in the magnificent cellular proliferation occurring when
a tumor grows. Without IGF-I there is no cancer!
We normally have tight genetic controls over cancer's growth.
All adults over the age of 50 have cancer in their bodies! (NY TIMES,
NOV. 8, 1994, P. C-1, Gina Kolata)
