If you're constantly surrounded by people who use dairy then it does make it more challenging. I try to associate with people who are vegan like myself, but I also have friends who aren't as well as family. When we eat together i just go for the food that has no dairy and leave it for everyone else because i know there are enough other good things to eat that I don't need to worry about it. I guess that one is a matter of perspective and will power, but I know from my own personal experience that the longer i go without having any dairy the less I really think about it because i have so many other things to enjoy. I would think that could be the same for anyone if they put their minds to it. Sue
