I know when I could use that (can't use soy any more), it was hit or miss
to find it in the stores.  There may be "seasons" when it's harder to
find it.

Anyway, have you tried looking for a Kosher market/deli?  I can always
find Rich Whip and Kineret (another brand of whipped topping) there.

Another suggestion that I've heard it to use Dari Free mixed at double
strength.  I'm not sure that will work for what you are doing, but
thought I'd throw it out there.
