What an excellent point, Jen.  Your situation with your son is a good example
of why the "rules" must be adjusted for each individual.  And also why it is
so difficult to know what to do in a situation like my daughter's.  In her
case, at 10 1/2, she understands that she will continue to need to stay 100%
away from dairy if she reacts, but I don't think I can justify insisting on
that degree of restriction if we test her with increasing amounts and she
does not react in *any* way.  But your comments have made me aware of the
need to watch for *any* symptoms, even new and/or very subtle ones, and I
appreciate that.
