else? I think your responses go a lot deeper than just "not
BTW -Medical people and scientists are not biased, necessarily; but they
do want more than just "someone's" word for things.
And I have offered websites and book titles when ever possible, but again I have also learned many things from health seminars for which no website is offered. There is also much I have learned from being involved in breastfeeding support groups and also working with a home midwife to plan on a home birth with our younger daughter and I learned a great deal from her as well. I just don't know that a lot if websites can be pulled out of all that since information flyers and individual conversations aren't normally on a web page. If there was a website for every health seminar I attended I would offer it, but just because there may not be a direct website doesn't mean the information isn't valid. If people on the talk list really want to know more about what I have to say and the resources I've offered aren't what they're looking for then they can certainly look up information in nontraditional resources that they can find and not expect anyone here to hold their hands for them to
do so. I think we're all pretty intelligent here and can do that. I was under the impression we were exchanging websites to offer websites that could be helpful rather than doing it to have to "prove" ourselves. If that's the case then that takes the fun out of being n the talk list for moral support. It's one thing to share websites because you want to and another to do it because you have to. The only other website i can think of that might be helpful would be www.midwivesofmaine.com but if you aren't planning on a home birth then i don't know how much you'll get out of it. There may be something there about mother's milk verses cow's milk and maybe you can email one of the midwives listed to ask questions if you're really curious about allergy affects with cow milk(as some of them really promote nursing as opposed to formula) but I can't guarentee anything. If anyone really wants to look into it though it can't hurt anything.
