> a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush (308)
> plus vale ave in le mano que cento volante

"Mais vale um pássaro na mão que dois voando."
"Plus vale un ave in le mano que duo a volar."

> a certain something (481)
> un io non sape que

Ela tem *um quê* de especial
Illa habe *un que* (de?) special
("que" hic vale como substantivo)

tamben: alique, un io-non-sape-que

> a chip off the old block (143)
> un pannetto del mesme drappo

Io non cognosceva ille expression in anglese. Ma io trovava in mi
dictionario le traduction:

"Tal pai, tal filho."
"Tal patre, tal filio."

Iste es un proverbio famose, e de facto illo es applicate solmente a
patres e filios.

Si tu vole te referer a personas que habe le mesme (mal) attitudes
("birds of a feather"?), le melior esserea:

"Eles são farinha do mesmo saco."
"Illes son farina del mesme sacco."

> a dirty rat (480)
> un ratta immunde

Un ratto immunde [verbatim]

> a feast fit for a king (482)

Un banchetto digne de un rege. [verbatim]

> a few (483 484)

Un pauc(o?)

> a few lines (99)

Alicun (pauc) lineas [verbatim]

> a fool is known by his laughing (381)
>
> a friend in need is a friend indeed (189)
>
> a friendly gathering (196)

Un reunion amicabile [verbatim]

> a man is known by the company he keeps (162)

"Dize-me com quem andas e eu te direi quem és."
"Dice me con qui tu ambula e io te dicera qui tu es."

> a matter of (93)

Uma questão de
Un question de

("Ille vinceva per un question de secundos.")

> a rolling stone gathers no moss (290)

???

> a way with people (166)

???

> about, almost (389)
> quasi

Quasi; circa.

> about (more or less) (93)

Circa; quasi; plus o minus.

> about the middle of (the week, month, etc.) (24)

Apud le medio de; Presso le medio de; Circa le medio de.

> abroad (188)
