I'm sorry to have written this in English. I'm in such an urgent situation to convey my point of why I would learn Esperanto and Lojban besides Interlingua. I will send you the Interlingua version later.
I believe Interlingua is a better international language than Esperanto for many reasons, among which the most important is its being easier than Esperanto for most educated people in the world in beginner's (as I have personally experienced) and intermediate (as far as I can imagine) level. Yet as of any language functioning as a medium of communication among non-native speakers or between native speakers and non-native speakers, the non-native speakers of IA, EO as well as English inevitably find some ideas they can convey perfectly in their mother tongue hard, if not impossible, to express in the "auxiliary" language, whether it's IA, EO or English. My point is, however, that in Esperanto, or even more so in Lojban, you can phrase lots of ideas you can not express even in your mother tongue into meaningful and intelligible Esperanto or Lojban words. But your chances to do the same in IA would be much smaller, since it's a almost a natural language. You can say "surtabligi"="to put...on a/the table" in esperanto, but no one can use only one word to say the same action in English or IA. You can coinage words to say something even more bizarre and perhaps not convenient to paraphrase in any natural language in Lojban.
Now, I should admit that my purpose for learning IA is to communicate with Interlinguistas and non-Interlinguistas in "all normal contexts", and in addition, to improve my English, while my purpose to learn Esperanto and Lojban is to enable myself to phrase ideas I can not express even in Chinese(there are so many of them! English solved some of my problem, but far from enough). I take up EO and Lojban as tools for my mental improvement. I learn and support IA for the possibility of enhancing the ability of mutual understanding, not just for that between myself and the ones I can possibly have any means of one-way or two-way contact with, but also for that among all human beings with different languages.
