Existe un verbo archaic portugese "manjar", con le mesme origine e
significantia que "mangiar" in Interlingua.

Le parola "manjar" es ancora utilizate, mais como un substantivo, como
synonymo de "alimento". Specialmente si illo es multo deliciose, como in
le expression "um manjar dos deuses" ("un 'mangiar' del deos"). "Manjar"
designa equalmente un platto specific, similar al pudding.
