Ben que multe linguas europee usa "mais" pro le grano, su origine es un
parola aborigine de Mexico que ha entrate le espaniol como maiz, e que
occurre in anglese como "maize".  Un certe argumento pote esser facite que
"maiz" es proprie pro le grano durante que "mais" pro le conjunction.
