Secundo mi grande Webster's III International Dictionario, mi Larousse
(francese), e
mi Vox (espaniol) le origine de "piragua" es de espaniol:  Assi proque illo
ancora ha su forma
"extranie" in anglese, io usa le espaniol "piragua" como le prototypo.
Anglese anque
ha "pirogue" [de francese, de espaniol _piragua_].  "piragua" e "pirogue" es duo
synonymos in anglese pro "dugout canoe" (canoa de un trunco de arbore
extrenchate o
excavate per foco).
