List Manager,

The language of the forum is changing aggressively in the recent days. It
has deviated from the rich information source of politics and economics,
finance and social activity affecting the Gambia to a truly individualised
and tribal sedition. This is surely why I’m reacting by calling the
attention of the list administrator to re-direct the language tone of the
forum. It is true that difference of opinion or interest inevitably arises
in a forum like this, but tribal sedition cannot be tolerated by some of us.

In these turbulent times, it is increasingly important for us in the
Diaspora to have a solid perspective on events affecting the Gambia. For
insight into the issues that affect us all, we need the kind of intelligent,
uncompromising and truly national analysis uniquely offered by the
Gambia-Ler. Gambia-L has always been a very much up-to-date and gives a
wonderful overview of all the essential political, economic and financial
news of the Gambia and related issues. This was why many of us where invited
by the Gambia-List to subscribe but not tribal issues. So personalise the
list by attacking one another on irrevocable issues might pollute the
Gambia-List.

Frankly speaking, Gambians in general appreciates the individual differences
and similarities that existed among us. Most of the Gambians learned to
understand that tribes respond to things in different ways and understand
things differently. But despite this differentiation, cohesion is always
been attained in our lovely nation. This is simply because we share a common
history, hold a common understanding, have a common sense of belonging, and
shared many ideas, such as social rules and practices. Any move to bring
tribal issues as mean of attacking Gambian on the List you will surely meet
a massive counter attack from every hole.

Joe Sambou was quick to react and condemned some of our friends who where
out of track. I thank him for that quick moved

Pa Che.
