Gassama, thanks for bringing this issue for discussion.  I saw a little blub
referring to ariel maneuvers on one of the newspapers, but I assumed it was
the Senegalese Jet Fighters.  I hope the jets are not ours nor did we obtain
them as a gift.  Either option means we are going to fork out resources to
maintain them, resources we do not have.  Like you, we should invest in
activities that would create jobs for our people.  If these jets are not
ours, then why the demonstration?  I hope this is not one of those feel-good
projects that our continent is cluttered with.  On the contrary, could this
be additions to the weapons stockpile that we have heard so much about?  If
it is, then folks, the writing is on the wall and we are in for a lot of
trouble, especially with the Guinea Bissau, Senegal/Cassamance problems that
seem to plague our neighborhood.  Please update us as the story unfolds.
