The newly establishes website, gambian.com will be officially
launched on June 27, 2000. The site was prematurely launched in mid-April in
response to several events that occured both in The Gambia and in Washington
DC.
The site has been receiving unprecedented attention in providing
first hand uncensored information from The Gambia and elsewhere through its
webcasting and news outlets.
According to the CEO, Latjor Ndow, "the goal of the site is to
become a virtual gambian community where all the resources needed by a
people will become available for their use and shared with the rest of the
world."
Visitors are urged to bookmark this date as many new features will be added
and some personalities will be participating in this official launching. A
program listing will be posted soon.
