Sure enough, if one door is closed, the other is open. Everybody must be
fed, faming is a big business. Not every president can satisfy a multitude
with five loafs and some left over…..

The rights of the Gambian people have to be protected so that unscrupulous
exploiters do not buy up all the ancestral lands (especially where the
blessings were placed.) In Sierra Leone, no toubab can own land in the
provinces. He can lease from the chief, to graze his cattle, but he can’t
say, “This is papa’s land” or “Give me back Papa’s land.

In the 80s, Nigerian freedom fighter and reggae artist Sonny Okosun, used
to sing a lot about Namibia. What mostly saved us (West Africa/ Mali
Empire) from permanent colonisation settlement was the mosquito -. And,
from their wintry point of view, an uncongenial climate.

Nigeria gives land to White Zimbabwean farmers:

If you understand Aku/ Krio then there’s nothing better than
Emerson’s "Borbor Bele”, the most powerful – fiery lyrics to ever come out
of Sierra Leone, social commentary on the life people are forced to live.
I was so angry just listening to the first three songs, shortly after it
was released, and till today I have lacked the courage to listen to the
next nine songs. I don’t want to be angrier than I already am, and this
guy knows how to convey sufferation. He was discussed on one of our Sierra
Leone forums - uninterruptedly – for weeks and became a celebrity,
overnight! :
