Four CBS News employees, including three executives, have been ousted for their role in preparing
and reporting a disputed story about President Bush’s National Guard service.

The panel said the four empolyees had a "myopic zeal" to be the first news organization to
broadcast a groundbreaking story about Mr. Bush’s National Guard service was a key factor in
explaining why CBS News had produced a story that was neither fair nor accurate and did not meet
the organization’s internal standards.

I guess this will teach anyone reporting anything that is considered anti-Bush propaganda to think
twice.  Why wasn't the person fired for reporting that Iraq had WMD, which led to the invasion and
occupation of Iraq?  I guess one can say that whoever gave that intelligence report to the Bush
Administration or the Bush Administration itself had a myopic zeal for the U.S. to be the first or
only superpower to control Iraq for reasons known only to them...

In time, everything will be revealed...
